2017 Innovation Awards showcase outstanding achievements in innovation

The 2017 Innovation Awards were presented Nov. 28 at Penn State College of Medicine, honoring those throughout the organization who had innovative ideas move forward through the execution of license agreements, receipt of patents or formation of startup companies based on Penn State technology.

University Park MD program flips traditional medical school model

Dr. Jeffrey Wong, associate dean for medical education for the University Park MD program of Penn State College of Medicine, and Morgan Decker, medical student design partner, recently discussed an innovative approach to medical education at Penn State as part of an "Ask the Experts" video interview.

There were cheers, hugs and tears as 134 members of the Penn State College of Medicine graduating class of 2017 ripped open envelopes. Printed on letters within those envelopes were their residency destinations.
