Carnish elected to pastoral education board
The Rev. David Carnish, manager for clinical pastoral education and part of the Pastoral Services team at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, was elected to a three-year term on the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education’s board of directors in late 2019.The organization certifies clinical pastoral education programs at hospitals and hospices in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Carnish is the leader of two clinical pastoral education programs at the medical center – the Clinical Pastoral Education (Level I) program and the Clinical Pastoral Education Residency (Level II). He is an ordained Baptist minister endorsed by The Alliance of Baptists and received his BA in philosophy from Valdosta State College and his Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Ky.
