Explore new OHACE Infonet site: Resources to promote health advancement, community engagement

The Office of Health Advancement and Community Engagement (OHACE) has launched a redesigned Infonet site to better connect Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine employees and trainees with educational opportunities, tools and resources that support culturally responsive care and community engagement.
“We believe this expanded and revised site provides extensive resources for our employees and learners as we continue to emphasize culturally responsive health care and reduce health care disparities in the areas we serve,” said Dr. Inginia Genao, vice dean and vice president of Health Advancement and Community Engagement.
The site’s pages include information about:
- Upcoming educational events
- Inclusion Academy learning opportunities, including its certification program
- Upstander Café events schedule
- Affinity group opportunities
- Experiential learning and on-demand educational programs, with options fortraining on requested topics
- Compliance and nondiscrimination policies and guidance
- Health equity programs, history and resources
- Religious services guidelines
The site also features links to policies and health system resources aligned with OHACE.
In addition, information is available on Health Advancement and Community Engagement advisory councils focused on marginalized communities. Other resources include an accessible meetings guide, instructions for adding and updating patient pronouns in Cerner, and language access and bilingual skills information.
