Future Lime Spring care teams celebrate new facility

More than 200 providers and staff joined Penn State Health leaders for a celebratory event at Lime Spring Outpatient Center in Lancaster on Oct. 23. The new facility is set to open on Jan. 2.

Dr. Robert Harbaugh, senior vice president, Penn State Health Academic Medical Group, welcomed guests and introduced Dr. Thomas Mextorf, recently named medical director of Lime Spring Outpatient Center. Dr. William Bird, senior vice president, and Jeanette Gibbs, vice president, Penn State Health Community Medical Group, addressed the future Lime Spring care teams as they enjoyed refreshments, met co-workers, took photos with the Nittany Lion and toured their new workspace.

Located at 2221 Noll Drive, East Hempfield Township, Penn State Health Medical Group – Lime Spring consolidates four existing Penn State Health Medical Group practices into one location on the second floor of the new facility to offer primary care and pediatrics. In addition to Lancaster Hematology-Oncology, the first floor of Lime Spring Outpatient Center offers various Penn State Health specialties, including both medical and surgical services, physical therapy, in-house lab services and imaging.
