GME coordinator timeline for May and June

Graduate medical education coordinators should be aware of the following timelines for May and June.

May

Fellowships

  • Update webpage and any other information for recruitment season

General reference

  • GME Track Program Survey released; due in July
  • Prepare New Innovations for upcoming academic year
  • Set up year-end program director evaluations of trainees
  • Collect any information and process any paperwork for graduating residents/fellows

June

Fellowships

  • Recruitment-season planning (most programs)

General reference

  • CCC to complete milestone evaluations to be submitted to the ACGME
  • Conduct year-end program director evaluations
  • Program graduation banquets
  • Most incoming trainees arrive
  • Onboarding events and orientation day held by Office of Graduate Medical Education
  • Request scholarly activity

  • Social/welcome events
  • Graduation party planning
  • Interview dates
  • Ranking meeting(s)
  • Board exam dates
  • PEC meetings
  • CCC meetings
  • In-training exams (ITE)
