IS Service Desk transitions to new phone number, email address
Information Services is centralizing and improving its Service Desk functions to better serve Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine. Changes for contacting Information Services and Clinical Engineering include:
- One unified contact phone number: 833-577-HELP (4357). The number replaces both 717-531-6281 in Hershey and 610-378-2647 in Reading. Note: Dial the entire 10-digit number, not just the extension.
- One unified email address: help@pennstatehealth.psu.edu. The new address replaces askPSHealthIT@pennstatehealth.psu.edu and pshsjhelpdesk@pennstatehealth.psu.edu.
The new phone number and email address are available now and will become the only phone and email methods to contact the Service Desk and Clinical Engineering beginning Oct. 1.
Frequently requested forms, including the Clinical Engineering Online Request form, remain available for use on the Service Desk home page.
With the phone number change, callers will now hear a greeting that indicates their place in line. They will be asked if they wish to leave a voicemail or remain on hold. The Service Desk is also making other changes to improve the customer experience for employees.
Information Services is also launching a communication campaign that includes updating device backgrounds and device tags.
