Transmission Electron Microscopy Facility gets new equipment

A new Leica EM UC7 ultramicrotome was installed April 26, 2016, in the Penn State College of Medicine Transmission Electron Microscopy Facility.

The new ultramicrotome offers a range of features and benefits for TEM sample preparation, optimizing preparation of semi- and ultrathin sections.

It also can prepare perfect, smooth surfaces from biological and industrial samples for subsequent TEM, SEM, AFM and LM imaging.
