Make-A-Wish party at Children's Hospital features crafts and treats

Make-A-Wish hosted a party for patients at Penn State Health Children’s Hospital this week. Children had an opportunity to decorate t-shirts and enjoy pizza and ice cream.

A child colors with an orange marker as her mother sits next to her, smiling, at a blue tablecloth-covered table at Penn State Health Children's Hospital in Hershey, PA. Several other children and their families are also coloring in the background. The Make-A-Wish program partners with the hospital's Child Life Program to help identify children who might benefit from the wish-granting program. This week's party was designed to share word of the organization's mission.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children across the United States with life-threatening medical conditions. It has granted more than 270,000 wishes since its inception in 1980.
