Celebrate Independence Day at ‘An American Salute’ in Hershey

The sounds of summer – and the spirit of Independence Day – will fill the air once again as Penn State Health and Penn State College of Medicine invite the community to a beloved seasonal tradition.
“An American Salute,” a free outdoor concert featuring the Hershey Symphony Orchestra, returns to the front lawn of Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center on Friday, on June 26 at 7:30 p.m.
This annual event brings neighbors, families and friends together to celebrate the holiday with an uplifting evening of music under the open sky. The Hershey Symphony Orchestra will perform a crowd-pleasing program spanning Broadway favorites, memorable movie scores and patriotic classics.
A community tradition
“An American Salute” has become a cherished part of the Hershey area’s Independence Day celebrations, offering a welcoming space for the community to gather, relax and connect. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and settle in for a memorable night of music and celebration.
The concert is free and open to the public. Complimentary water will be available, and food trucks will be on site offering a variety of food and beverage options. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own food and drinks.
Parking is free for all guests.
In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be canceled (no rain date). Such updates would be shared on this page.
